The Badaling section of the wall is where most tourists come to see
the wall. There is a commercial center built in the valley where
you can ride up to the wall on a cable car.
When you look
at the wall itself, you can see that the left side is built higher than
the right - that's the Mongolian side. And there were holes
in the left side so that you could look out and shoot arrows at any
Mongols trying to invade China.
