Hakone-Fuji National Park, only 1 - 2 hours from Tokyo, is one of the most popular resort areas in the country.  Its centerpiece is Mt. Fuji, a dormant volcano which last erupted in 1707, which is almost 13,000 feet high and snowcapped year-round.  It is frequently shrouded in clouds and fog, looking as if the white cap is floating in the air.

We were very lucky to have this great view from the top of a nearby mountain that we got to via cable car.
