The Lama temple has five
halls laid out on a north-south axis. In each successive hall, the
central Buddha is more imposing than the last.
This is the final hall
(Pavilion of Ten Thousand Happinesses) in which stands a 75 foot statue
of the Buddha carved from a single piece of sandalwood.
Unfortunately, no photos are
allowed inside the halls so we couldn't get a good shot of the Buddha,
but he was VERY large.
