This is the view of
Tiananmen Square from Tiananmen Gate (The Gate of Heavenly Peace).
There are many buildings surrounding the square:
On the left is the China
National Museum, home to many exhibits of relics of China's history.
On the right is the Great
Hall of the People.
In the middle of the square
are the memorials, including Mao's Mausoleum and the Monument to the
People's Heros.
