Old Beijing is starting to
become a hip place for wealthy people and ex-pats to live. They
have redone the quadrangle houses, creating four bedroom houses,
updating the interior and exterior and installing garages.
Indications of wealth,
however, are traditional include the number of
nails above the door (the more the wealthier) and the lions in front of
the door which are reserved for the elite.
