When you first enter the
city, you are in the Outer Court (Waichao) which is where the Emperor
conducted official business.
The Hall of Supreme Harmony
is the largest building in the Palace, holding the golden Dragon Throne
from which the emperor ruled. The courtyard in front of the hall
was used for solemn ceremonies and could hold over 90,000
people.
